No, it doesn't have involve all that fussing and dragging cables through you home.
Many home automation systems can be wired, wireless, or both. It depends on your circumstances but there products available to suit all situations.
Retrofit is the term we use to install wireless controllers, fixturesd and fittings where running cable is either impractical or impossible. Each 'intelligent component' in your new 'smart home' communicates over the airwaves giving you full control in the same way as a wired system. At the moment video cannot be transmitted in this way (but the tchnology to do so is coming soon) but please ask us about our non-intrusive solutions - after all, it's what we do!
If, on the other hand, you are thinking of refurbishing or remodelling your home, then consider preparing for a controlled and multi-room application now. Running media, audio and video wires before or during this type of work is easy and can cost as little as £0.20p a metre!
